About the Artist

"I have had a life-long fascination with various art forms with a fondness for painting in acrylics, watercolor and oils. I favor landscapes and nature scenes that include elements of motion and wildlife as seen by a glimpse over ones shoulder. The Catskill Mountains of New York provides opportunities in abundance and being retired, I enjoy painting my surroundings. Love of nature is an inspiration and a constant study reflected in my artwork."

Early in her career, Agnes attended the New York School of Interior Design and worked in the design field with an interest in fine arts. She participated in shows and workshops in the Atlanta area during the years spent growing her family.

Agnes and her husband Charles now spend their summers in the Catskills and winter in South Carolina. She joined the local Plein Air group several years ago in the mountains, painting landscapes in acrylic and watercolor and participated in shows with the EBDRPA Painters at Hunting Tavern in Andes, the Commons Gallery in Margaretville and the Fleischmanns Maple Fest. She has also attended workshops at the Woodstock School of Art, the Roxbury Arts Group and the west West Kortright Center. When wintering in South Carolina, Agnes participated showing with Goose Creek Arts Guild and Del Webb Cane Bay community.
