When I was two years old, I climbed up on a chair to watch my mother painting, a deer, jumping out of some brush. That is my first memory of her and my first exposure to art. The painting hangs in my living room today. I have always drawn and painted. One of the highlights of my work week in NYC was painting and drawing at the Art Students League at night after work. One of the joys of retiring to the country is spending more time to study my surroundings and taking inspiration from studying the works of others.

Deer Dell Road (private) is the first left hand turn off Hwy 28 just past the Hwy 6 (New Kingston) turnoff headed from Margaretville toward Andes. (almost exactly halfway between the two towns. My house is the first house (red) on the left, about 75 yards up Deer Dell Road and the first left at the T intersection at the top of the hill. (Ignore the fire sign and road immediately on the left as you head up Deer Dell. That's a service road and more difficult for parking and two way traffic.)
