About the artist

I have been painting and exhibiting in Delaware County since 1977 when my husband and I purchased the property of Adah and J. Francis Murphy, founding artists of the Pakatakan Art Colony.

My work is inspired by the landscape around me. I paint on site whenever possible but also work in my studio from sketches or photographs I have taken. My aim is to capture the essence of the place. I primarily work in oils which gives me the freedom to work in broad forms and tones.  I am an artist member of Longyear Gallery in Margaretville where I exhibit in monthly group shows.  My most recent solo shows were in 2022 at Blue Mountain Gallery in Chelsea, New York City and in Longyear Gallery.
